Welcome to Dr Clare Aesthetics Sunekos Skin Booster Treatments

Skin boosters are a breakthrough in aesthetic treatments, offering a non-surgical solution to rejuvenate and enhance the skin. Comprising hydrating substances like hyaluronic acid, these injections work beneath the surface to nourish, hydrate, and revitalise your skin.

Sunekos is ideal for skin that feels dull, dehydrated, or less firm over time. Using a high concentration of stabilised hyaluronic acid, it works beneath the skin to improve hydration and quality rather than create volume.

I specialise in delivering skin booster injections in North London, tailored to address your specific concerns and refresh your appearance. We exclusively use leading brands like Sunekos, meaning we can guarantee quality and efficacy in every treatment.

With a doctor-led consultation and personalised treatment plan, care is tailored to your skin goals, anatomy, and timeline, so outcomes stay refreshed and natural.

What Is Sunekos?

A Doctor-Led Approach to Skin Remodelling

Sunekos is not a traditional dermal filler. It is a stabilised hyaluronic acid injectable treatment designed to spread smoothly through tissue and stimulate hydration, collagen, and elastin support.

Treatment is delivered at carefully selected points to improve skin quality, firmness, and radiance while maintaining natural facial movement and expression.

It is a very safe treatment, perfect for remodelling ageing and sagging tissue, with minimal downtime and few side effects.

It should be administered by a trained medical professional.

HOW SKIN BOOSTERS WORK

How Sunekos Supports Healthier-Looking Skin

Sunekos works differently from traditional fillers by improving skin quality from within, rather than adding structure or shape.

01

High-Purity Hyaluronic Acid Is Placed Precisely

Treatment is delivered at carefully selected injection points so the product can spread through tissue in a controlled, medically-led way.

02

Hydration Levels Improve Beneath the Surface

The treatment attracts and retains water in the skin, helping to improve softness, glow, and comfort in areas affected by dehydration.

03

Skin Remodelling Develops Gradually

Over the following weeks, support for collagen and elastin helps skin appear firmer, smoother, and naturally refreshed without looking overtreated.

SUNEKOS FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve skin hydration, texture, and elasticity with an immediate tightening effect. They contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the body that attracts and retains water, providing deep hydration and stimulating collagen and elastin production.

Yes. A consultation is required to assess suitability, review medical history, discuss your goals, and agree a safe treatment plan.

No. Sunekos is a skin remodelling treatment that spreads through tissue to improve hydration and skin quality. It is not used to sculpt or add volume in the same way as traditional dermal fillers.

Both Sunekos and Profhilo are skin boosters that contain hyaluronic acid, but they have some key differences:

Profhilo: Contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid and uses a unique injection technique (5-point facelift) to deliver the product across a wider area with fewer injections. It is primarily used for improving skin laxity and hydration.

Sunekos: Combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids, which are the building blocks of collagen and elastin. It is designed to improve skin texture, fine lines, and wrinkles, as well as stimulate collagen and elastin production.

The initial treatment protocol typically involves 3 sessions spaced 2 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 4-6 months, depending on individual needs.

Most patients find the injections tolerable. A topical numbing cream can be applied beforehand to minimise discomfort.

Downtime is usually minimal. You may notice temporary small bumps, redness, tenderness, or occasional bruising at injection points that settle quickly.

  • To reduce the risk of bruising, avoid taking anti-inflammatories (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen), alcohol, fish oils, St John’s wort and vitamin A & E for 1-3 days prior to treatment.
  • Do not stop prescription drugs for medical conditions without checking with your doctor first.
  • You may choose to take arnica tablets/cream 2 days before to reduce the risk of bruising.

In general the downtime is minimal with mild and temporary side effects including:

  • Slight redness, swelling, tenderness at the injection site.
  • Occasional bruising.

If the undereye area has been treated you will be left with some undereye puffiness (where the product has been placed) that will reduce over the next 12-24 hours.

  • Refrain from touching the treated area for at least 6 hours.
  • Use a cool compress to reduce swelling and discomfort.
  • Avoid makeup for 12 hours in the treatment area
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, sun and heat exposure for 24 hours.
  • Consider applying arnica cream or taking arnica tablets to reduce bruising.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and promote healing.
  • Avoid heavy alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours.
  • Avoid anti-inflammatories (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen), alcohol, fish oils, St John’s Wort and Vitamins A & E for at least 3 days after treatment. Do not stop prescription medications without checking with your doctor first.
  • Avoid the use of retinol or medicated skin products for 2 days after treatment.
  • Always wear sunscreen to protect the treated area from sun damage.

If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to contact Dr Clare.
